Valerie Kiock was born in Munich in 1971. After a two-year foundation course at the Schule f\u00fcr Gestaltung (School of Design) in Basel, Switzerland, she studied design at the Schule f\u00fcr Gestaltung in Zurich (1994 \u2013 98).<\/p>\n
While still a student, she became founder member of furniture design group N2, exhibiting in Basel, Milan, Cologne, Lucerne and Hamburg. After an internship at M\u00fcller+Hess in Basel, and collaborating with Alex Rich, she spent 1998 \u2013 2002 working as designer and art director in London, first at Williams & Phoa Ltd. and then at Gettyimages. In 2000 and 2001, she taught graphic design at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Gestaltung und Kunst in Lucerne.<\/p>\n
